With the merger between GE Transportation and Wabtec completed on February 25, 2019, GE Marine becomes Wabtec Marine.
Both the engines, as well as the parts, are the same, but with a different name. There will be no change to the high quality services we have always provided. We will continue to run the Wabtec Marine engines that are still manufactured in Pennsylvania and remain the most reliable, durable and fuel efficient engines available on the market, with better run times and lower life cycle cost for operators.
With this merger, Wabtec becomes a Fortune 500 company, a global leader in transportation and logistics. It has a broad range of freight, transit and electronics products, along with GE Transportation’s best-in-class equipment, services and digital solutions in the locomotive, mining, marine, stationary power and drilling industries.
